Read the complete architecture & boundaries
An administration capability map, not a permissions-mutation or provisioning pipeline.
- Understand the user. The skill could look up users and their privileges.
- Connect to Salesforce. A Salesforce MCP connection supported the Claude administration skill.
- Assist the journey. It assisted with user journeys and administration flows. Provisioning or permission changes are not claimed.
THE PROBLEM
What needed to change.
Administration required understanding a user’s access and the steps involved in their Salesforce journey.
MY CONTRIBUTION
Where I came in.
I built a second Claude skill using the Salesforce MCP connection, focused on administration rather than cross-functional data questions.
This is a distinct skill-development story. An autonomous provisioning or access-control system is not claimed.
THE APPROACH
How it came together.
- Look up users and their privileges from Claude.
- Assist with the user journey and administration flows.
- Keep this administration use case separate from the broader business-data skill.
THE OUTCOME
What the work made possible.
The skill could look up user and privilege information and assist with administration. Provisioning, permission changes and deprovisioning are not established capabilities.
Technical & implementation detail
Technologies described in this account: Claude, Salesforce, MCP.
